Insanity, School, and Art

I successfully did two and a half weeks of Insanity (the workout program from ShaunT and Beachbody) and I started noticing a difference. Then I stopped and feel really bad. Good news is that Andrew said he would start doing it with me on Monday which is a step because Andrew really hates working out. He can't stand it, poor thing. I think he realizes that he needs to start being healthy and I'm sure it would help me doing it with him. So here's to Monday, August 3rd!

Edgar Degas - Violinist, Study for "The Dance Lesson" - 1878-1879

Another good piece of news is that I'm going back to school! I'm going to try and get my AS in Photographic Technology which I am truly excited about. I have been wanting to go back to school but haven't thought much about acting on. My job will actually pay for two classes if you've been there for at least a year. My year comes a day after school starts so I get to take two classes for free basically. As long as I pass with a good grade. I am taking Understanding Art and Drawing. Which brings me to my last part of my post; I am in love with art.

Kate McGwire - Pigeon feathers

I find art in the weird things or I can see something and totally understand what the artists' implications were. I think it's truly a wonderful gift. I sometimes feel out of place or weird when I'm expressing my understanding or liking something when other people say they don't understand it. Maybe I'm not the weird one but they are? Or maybe they're not weird, just not talented? Just because someone can do something, see something, interpret something that someone else cannot, does not make them weird. Just different. I am different and I like it.

Leonardo da Vinci - Annunciazione - 1472-1475

To be taking art or trying my hand in drawing is going to be an adventure. I love adventure! I will keep you updated when my classes start in two and a half weeks!
