Introduction

So here I am trying my 4,562nd blog because if anything, I am not a quitter. I think I should state my intentions with this blog - what I want it to be will come out eventually. What I don't want it to be is a blog about the ramblings of life.

I have definitely been growing in my spiritual life as well as just in general. Rounder not thinner, unfortunately. I have been thinking (shocking, I know) and I just felt like I should have one cohesive spot to put down all my growth. Until I give up on it and start a new blog because that's what I do. Haha.

My plan is to write down random thoughts, (not like, "is my left big toe bigger than my right big toe?") travels, discoveries, dreams, and goals - along with artwork or funny meme's because that's how I roll. I'm not going to tell you how I went to the allergist today to talk about new medicine and how I'm actually doing pretty good being around cats. I'm also quite sure you have enough blogs you read that tell you their allergist is happy they're doing okay. I want to write about life on a much grander scheme - extraordinary things that happen to me or to people. People are so fascinating! Being recently married and living a new lifestyle, adventure is bound to be prevalent and new!

Things to know about me right now: I like being cliché and I like corny jokes. Expect both in this blog because for certain, I know this blog will reflect that. Other than corny clichés, I have no idea what this blog will turn into. Every time I try to make a blog into something, it's takes on a life of its own...or it dies but we don't talk about that.

I've been reading about Mother Teresa. If there's a cliché saint to read about, it's her. With saints, I'm very big into not liking or caring about the popular ones. It's one of my greatest gifts/biggest flaws to always go for the underdog with everyone I meet, and in my book, Mother Teresa isn't an underdog. She was a strong woman with a solid moral compass who always talked about smiling. I've never read about a saint that talked about smiles as much as she did. And how cliché is it to be told that a smile can change a person?! Cliché, yes, but it worked for her so I will give it a try. This is the part where I tell you that my blog is named in her memory - because of her. Joy has been the new theme of my life and I'm going to learn to practice smiling joyfully. Even when I'm sad or down, feeling lonely or depressed, angry, mad, or happy!

This blog will be dedicated to the four Teresa's: St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Teresa of Avila, St. Teresa Benedicta (Edith Stein), and last but not least, St. Teresa of Calcutta.
